General Summary:  Millroom Operator

Responsible for ensuring the millroom is fully operational and running based on OSHA and Triangle Brick Company regulations.

 

Primary Responsibilities

• Position operates the extruder or setting machine daily
• Safe operation of all equipment in the millroom
• Participate actively and take pride in creating a high-quality product
• Follow lock out-tag out procedures
• Perform daily pre-shift startup and shutdown checks; review and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs); report concerns, as identified
• Ensure all work areas are organized and clean
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance related items proactively to help increase uptime 
• All other duties as requested or assigned
• Work is primarily in covered environment, with open, outdoor air flow

 

Skills and Abilities

• Prioritize SAFETY first, then QUALITY and PRODUCTION
• Night shift hours are 4pm – 2am, Monday - Friday
• Must be willing and able to work overtime, including weekends, as required
• Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, climb and lift 50 lbs.
