Three Years in the Making

Patience is certainly a virtue at play in the Tate Modern project: Herzog & de Meuron's extension.  Taking over three years to construct the concrete core and apply the over 300,000 brick, this brick beauty is an amazing example of how the use of brick can really fall outside the rectangle.
